KTS Von was a rapper and gangster from Chicago, Illinois, in the United States. His tragic death has sent shockwaves throughout the global music community. KTS Von, originally known as Devon Davis, was born on December 1, 1993, in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up with his older brother, Londre Sylvester, who was famously known as KTS Dre. The brothers shared a strong bond and both had a love for music and rapping. They were also accompanied by a younger sister whose name remains undisclosed to the public. KTS Von's father, Vincent Davis, was involved in gang activities and had a criminal history. However, the identity of KTS Von's mother remains unknown.


He grew up in a bad neighborhood where crime and violence were common. As a member of Killaward 069, KTS Von likely faced constant exposure to criminal activities and violence within his neighborhood. KTS Von began his rap career during his teenage years. He chose the stage name KTS Von, representing Killing To Survive, which reflected his personal experiences and struggles. To further establish his identity as a rapper, he got a target symbol tattooed on his neck. KTS Von utilized platforms like YouTube and SoundCloud to release his music, which eventually garnered him a dedicated fanbase within the drill music community, a subgenre of hip hop. He has also sung song such as Street Life, No Love and War Wit Us.

On the tragic day of June 23, 2015, KTS Von fell victim to a senseless act of violence on South Ellis Avenue in Chicago. While simply walking alongside his two friends, an unidentified vehicle suddenly approached them and unleashed a hail of bullets. Tragically, KTS Von suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and tragically lost his life instantly. Although his friends were also wounded in the attack, they managed to survive this horrifying ordeal.

The shooting incident involving the deceased rapper is currently being investigated by the authorities. The police have confirmed that the rapper was affiliated with the Gangster Disciple's Lakeside group, which is notorious for its involvement in criminal activities. This gang is widely recognized as one of the most infamous street gangs in America, according to numerous sources.

KTS Von Controversy

The rapper's involvement in a felony weapon possession case which he has faced significant controversies throughout the years. Recently, on June 11, he was detained for running errands outside of the designated time on the assigned day of the week. In response to this, the rapper's public attorney requested a bond hearing. Subsequently, Judge Lawrence Flood set a high bond amount of $50,000 and required a down payment of $5,000.

After the death of KTS Von

Following KTS Von's death, the streets of Chicago saw an increase in violence and bloodshed. His brother, KTS Dre, became a major target for their enemies who aimed to wipe out the entire family. Despite surviving multiple assassination attempts, KTS Dre tragically succumbed to his wounds on July 10, 2021. Shockingly, he was shot a staggering 64 times outside a jail shortly after being released on bail. With his untimely demise, an era came to an end for both the Killaward 069 gang and the drill music scene in Chicago.
