She found the experience of embodying a different persona to be both fun and liberating, and she wanted to explore that further.

She discovered that she needed the shared laughter of an audience to be fulfilled. She found that acting gave her an outlet to express herself in ways that she was not able to do in her everyday life. It allowed her to explore emotions and feelings that she had never experienced before, and she realized that performing in front of an audience gave her a sense of joy and connection that she had been lacking.

Heartbreak High, a Netflix comedy-drama series starring Yasbincek and based on the original series from 1994, came in 2022. She worked in traffic control when she was cast as Harper. Since joining the reboot, she has watched almost all of the original series on Netflix. She shaved her head in one of her first scenes for the show because her character has a buzz cut. According to Clare Rigden of The West Australian, it "100%" helped her get into character.

Her character describes as, aggressive and quite angry, and that's not untrue, but I think it's her shield that she’s putting up. As the series progresses, you get to see a little bit more of what's underneath that.
