Scarlet Starr - Melanie C's daughter with Thomas Starr

Scarlet Starr is the daughter of Mel C, is an English singer-songwriter, DJ, businesswoman and media personality. She is the first child for Mel C, 49, and her partner of six years, property developer Thomas Starr. The couple announced the pregnancy in September 2008 and waited for a delivery surprise.

Scarlet Starr's grandmother, Joan O'Neill, who worked as a secretary and personal assistant and has been singing in music bands since she was 14, and grandfather Alan Chisholm, a fitter at the Otis Elevator Company.

Her grandparents married in 1971 and separated in 1978, when Scarlet's mother, Chisholm was four years old. Her grandmother remarried and had more children, one of whom is racing driver Paul O'Neill, who was born when Chisholm was six years old.

Scarlet mostly grew up in Widnes, Cheshire, attending Brookvale Junior School in nearby Runcorn and Fairfield High School in Widnes.
